Stack Monitoring Kit Model PEM-SMK 10 B can be used to measure total emission of particulate mater and gaseous pollutants from the stacks of almost all types of industries including Thermal Power Stations, Steel Plants, Chemical Plants and Cement Industry.  In its simplest form, it can be used to take accurate representative samples of particulate matter and various gaseous pollutants such as SO2, NOx etc. from the stack in accordance with the methodologies developed by US EPA and as specified by Central Pollution Control Board in their Emission Regulations, Part II (Dec. 85)

PEM-SMK10 consists of a Control Module, a sampling pump and the required sampling hardware. It is also provided with an impinger module for sampling of gaseous pollutants and determination of moisture.

The Control Module houses a dry gas meter, two rotameters with their control valves, a vacuum guage  and a multifunction electronic unit, which gives digital display of the various parameters such as stack gas temperature, dry gas meter temperature, pitot differential pressure along with an electronic stopwatch / timer.

The Impinger Module, required for gaseous sampling, consists of a thermocole-insulated lightweight, fiberglass cabinet, which is capable of accommodating 4 nos. of 125 ml capacity and 2 nos. of 250 ml capacity glass impingers. The required low temperature is maintained by keeping ice in the module. 

The Sampling Pump is a very lightweight monoblock dry type with a capacity of free flow of about 100 LPM.

The Standard Accessories include Pitot tube, thimble filter holder, thimble pipe, nozzles, stack thermo-couple and interconnecting tubes etc.
